Early life and career
Born February 21, 1979 Jennifer Love Hewitt is an all time favourite American actress and a heart throb to many fans across the world. Hewitt was born in Waco, Texas. She is a loving daughter to Herbert Daniel Hewitt, a technician, and Patricia Mae Shipp, a speech-language pathologist. Ever since her parents got divorced, Hewitt and her sibling Todd Hewitt were raised up by her mother.
Her brother came up with her first name ‘Jennifer’, a name of a girl that Todd was fond of since a young child. Her middle name ‘Love’ was thought of by her mother after her best friend during college time.
Ever since from her childhood, Hewitt loved to listen to music and now she is a popular singer cum song writer herself. Just at the age of three Hewitt sang "The Greatest Love of All" at a livestock show! Apart from singing, Hewitt was also fond of tap dancing and she became a member of the Texas Show Team at the age of nine. At about 10 years of age she decided to move to Los Angeles and make a career in both acting and singing.
Film and music career
Jennifer Love Hewitt is well known for her leading roles in countless television shows and movies. Some of her most popular TV series was Fox television series Party of Five in which she acted as Sarah Reeves. She also starred in a popular movie ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’.
Ever since Jennifer moved to Los Angeles, she has appeared in more than twenty television commercials. It didn’t take long for her to get her first break as a child actor in the all famous Disney Channel variety show Kids Incorporated (1989–1991). Her charming personality and wonderful looks made her a star in no time. She made her film debut in the independent film Munchie (1992).
Hewitt really made a name for herself after starring in the horror film ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ (1997). This film hit the box office and generated a whopping 125,000,000 U.S. dollars worldwide. In 2001, Hewitt appeared in a popular music video for the Enrique Iglesias song, Hero as the singer's love interest. To date she has released four albums with some success, out of which most notably are in Japan.
